Yongrui (Louie) Qin, PhD

Louie is a Lecturer in Knowledge and Information Systems in School of Computing and Engineering, University of Huddersfield, United Kingdom. He obtained PhD degree from University of Adelaide, Australia, and both Masters degree and Bachelor degree from Fudan University, China, all in Computer Science. During PhD study, he spent six months as a Research Intern at DERI, Galway, Ireland (now The Insight Centre for Data Analytics). His main research interests include Internet of Things, Web of Things, Semantic Web, data management, data mining and mobile computing. He has published more than 50 refereed technical papers, including publications in highly reputable venues, such as IEEE Trans. on Parallel and Distributed Systems, Journal of Network and Computer Applications, World Wide Web Journal, IEEE Internet Computing, SIGIR, ICDCS, EDBT, CIKM, and DASFAA.
